个人经历

在80年初开始了他的音乐生涯，也有和McShan,Roxanne Shante一起工作过.88年签了Cold Chillin;.而且发行了; ,次年发行了The Biz Never Sleeps中的Just A Friend十分受到当时美国市场好评。也使得Markie成为当时最重要Rappa和Hiphop影响力最大人物之一。这也使他爱发行第三张I Need a Haircut承受很多的压力，另外，加上Sample问题的诉讼案更加恶化！到93年,Markie继续他的音乐事业，发行了All Samples.这张也可以说是商业音乐下的受害者!!!!!!!而后的几年,Biz 常和Beasitie Boyz一起工作，也开始Djing,从此过着低调的音乐人生活.(他的单曲Just A Friend被滚石评为最伟大的100首英文歌曲之一.)年轻的一批rapper,象是Obie Trice等也都受到了他的影响.

在众多的Old School说唱MC中，BIZ Markie毋庸质疑是东海岸饶舌音乐的根源。他孩子般的幽默和童趣掩盖了他作为一个杰出freestyle rhymer的事实，又或许Biz Markie未能将他狂野的饶舌技艺完整的展示在作品，但他却以自己的方式令唱片有了价值。在他傻乎乎的幽默感以及创造力十足的采样造就的音乐中，他证明了Hip Hop可以在搞笑又具有艺术感，同时又不失街头文化的亲和力。他这样独特的风格令专辑大获成功，同时也是对他的诅咒--其中采样受到过高的关注，以至于他终因1991年"Alone Again"一曲中未经许可的采样另他受到起诉。漫长的诉讼令他的音乐生涯就此停滞。但他在90年代中期为Beastie Boyz的冠军单曲献声，还是让我们看到了他在Hip Hop乐坛巨大的影响力。

一脸傻乎乎的Biz Markie绝对称的上是Harlem的传奇，在Old School正在走向衰落的那个期间,Biz Markie一首"Just a Friend"为他赚够了荣耀，也让充满童趣幽默的饶舌方式在硬核泛滥的年代中体现了出了价值，而"Just a Friend"则被《滚石》评为"最伟大的100首英文歌曲"之一(1963-2000).我想喜欢Old School的朋友应该都知道他那首Just a Friend吧，曾经HipaTop100里面重复率很高的歌。
