人物简介
徐永生,博士,‘百人计划’研究员,博士生导师。1997年获得复旦大学物理学硕士学位;2006年获得美国罗德岛大学物理海洋学博士学位。曾任美国地球物理学会会议分会主席。2011年12月作为中科院“百人计划”引进国外杰出人才回国工作,2013年入选青岛创新领军人才。回国前在美国加州理工学院NASA喷气推进实验室(JPL)从事物理海洋和海洋遥感等方面的研究工作,曾参加过ECCO2、Jason-2、OSTM、SWOT等知名目,期间利用高度计卫星观测对海洋中地转湍流的研究曾入选美国航空航天局(NASA) 2010年度对外展示性成果。

研究方向及成果
主要从事物理海洋和海洋遥感方面的研究,近期主要成果包括:用卫星高度计和散射计数据检验了经典地转涡流理论,发现并解释了全球海洋中不符合经典理论预测的区域;发现了去除卫星高度计仪器噪音影响的方法,从而解决了卫星高度计观测中长期存在的“速度功率谱蓝移”的问题;发现海洋中非潮汐高频信号的混叠效应对高度计观测中尺度过程的影响,并提出了解决方法;提供了海盆尺度水体本征震荡的观测证据;在研究中尺度海洋垂直耦合过程中引入典型相关分析方法,并因此发现了海洋上层和深层中尺度涡的相互作用现象;发展了一套降低气候模式系统误差引起的偏差的方法,改善了预测未来极端天气事件变化的能力;揭示了海洋表面和海底能量影响海洋内部混合的穿透深度;用Argo浮标结合卫星观测揭示了北太平洋经向热输运;发现海流中的Coriolis-Stokes效应,改善了用卫星观测反演流的精度。以上成果发表在JPO、JGR、GRL、OceanModeling、DSR、Climatic Change,Jtech等国际知名期刊。
