2010年10月份美国总统奥巴马受邀为Youtube录制了一段视频，对之前发生的多起校园同性恋遭受歧视和欺压事件作出回应。视频中奥巴马表示，任何人都有权利选择自己的生活方式。歧视和其他针对同性恋的暴力行为应当受到谴责。跟随总统先生出镜的明星还有安妮海瑟薇，以及美剧《吸血鬼日记》中的演员。此外还有众多明星合唱了一首励志歌曲：It Gets Better，明天会更好。
关注同性恋群体的活动"It Gets Better"，明天会更好，依旧召集了大批明星加盟宣传，其中包括总统奥巴马，安妮海瑟薇，吸血鬼日记中的Candice Accola、Ian Somerhalder和Kat Graham，美剧《非凡家庭》中的Julie Benz 、Michael Chiklis和Jenny McCarthy都加入到这一次的拍摄中。这次的活动是因为此前一系列的同性恋者自杀事件而发起的。
