刘庄,男,毕业于美国斯坦福大学博士学位,苏州大学纳米科学技术学院教授。

2020年10月15日,荣获第十六届中国青年科技奖。2021年9月,荣获第三届“科学探索奖”。[3]

近年来一直在纳米医学与肿瘤纳米技术领域从事研究。

2005年以来发表学术论文100余篇,其中回国后独立发表通信作者论文70余篇,相当一部分成果发表于Chem. Soc. Rev., Nature Protocols, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., JACS, Adv. Mater., Ad. Funct. Mater. Nano Lett., ACS Nano等国际权威刊物上。

全部论文总引用已超过11,000次,SCI H-index为48。获国家自然科学基金委优秀青年基金资助,江苏省杰出青年基金资助;作为课题负责人承担科技部973项目课题一项。

当前研究兴趣包括纳米材料的生物学效应与生物安全性研究;基于碳纳米材料的生物成像、药物输送和治疗治疗研究;稀土上转换发光纳米材料在生物传感、生物成像、以及癌症治疗上的应用;新型多功能复合纳米材料的开发及其在多模态癌症成像与治疗上的应用;基于有机高分子纳米材料的肿瘤光学治疗与联合治疗;以及基于纳米技术的干细胞研究和细胞疗法研究等。

应国际著名期刊Biomaterials主编、美国工程院院士Kam W. Leong教授邀请,刘庄教授出任Biomaterials杂志新一届副主编。刘庄教授是该期刊新一届编委中唯一一位来自中国大陆的副主编。

2021年8月,苏州大学功能纳米与软物质研究院教授刘庄、陈倩以及上海市肺科医院教授杨洋团队合作,开发了一种可吸入的含人血管紧张素转化酶2(hACE2)的纳米捕获剂。该药物能与人体内的宿主细胞竞争结合SARS-CoV-2,由此保护人体宿主细胞免受感染。该成果发表于美国《国家科学院院刊》。[2]
