黄原，陕西师范大学生命科学学院教授，博士生导师，中国昆虫学会理事，陕西省昆虫学会副理事长，陕西省动物学会副理事长，《遗传》和《昆虫分类学报》编委。1980年进入陕西师范大学生物学学习，1990获得动物学专业博士学位；1992-1994年在西北农业大学植保系从事分子系统学博士后研究；1996-1998年美国内布拉斯加大学做访问学者和博士后研究，从事昆虫分子系统学与进化生物学研究；2004年2-8月在加拿大蒙特利尔大学生物化学系从事基因组学和生物信息学研究；2015年3-9月在英国伦敦自然历史博物馆进行基于第二代测序技术的高通量生物多样性检测和生物信息学研究。

先后为本科生讲授生物信息学、分子生物学、普通动物学等课程，为研究生开设基因组学、分子进化和分子系统学、生物信息学、整合动物学等课程。

研究方向主要集中在昆虫和鸟类的分子进化和分子系统学、谱系基因组学等方面。主持完成国家自然科学基金项目7项，获得陕西省人民政府科技进步一、二等奖各一次，在国内外生物学期刊发表论文113篇，出版专著3部。

主要研究领域及兴趣

黄原教授的《分子进化生物学实验室》主要从事分子进化和分子系统学研究，包括利用高通量测序技术获得的基因组和转录组数据研究直翅目昆虫和鸟类主要类群的时空演化模式和系统发育关系，利用DNA复合条形码技术进行土壤和水体生物多样性编目和群落演化研究。近期的研究项目包括：直翅目昆虫的转录组学和谱系基因组学研究；鸟类和直翅目昆虫的线粒体基因组学研究；基于DNA复合条形码技术研究秦巴山区土壤和水体生物群落的多样性及演化动态。
